Havarti is a ripened Danish, semi-hard cheese which derives from the German Tilsiter. Today many varieties are being made. Havarti has a soft body and a light yellow colour. Inside it has numerous small and irregular holes. Varieties containing chives and other herbs have become more popular during recent years.
