The JoinTec Yoghurt Culture Range is fully aligned with the equivalent culture blends offered under the SACCO System Lyofast portfolio. This alignment supports a unified global product strategy under a single, recognisable brand system, while ensuring customers continue to receive consistent fermentation performance and product quality.

ONE BRAND STRATEGY: SACCO LYOFAST ALIGNMENT
As part of SACCO's "one brand" marketing strategy, the company is strengthening global recognition of the Lyofast portfolio as its primary identity for culture solutions.

This strategy means that JoinTec culture blends do not represent separate or newly developed formulations. Instead, they are exact counterparts of existing Lyofast products, ensuring full technical equivalence across branding channels.

For example: JoinTec VB 348 culture blend is identical in formulation and performance to Lyofast Y 438 A culture blend.

This ensures continuity for customers while supporting SACCO's move toward a streamlined, globally unified product offering.

Importantly, SACCO will not be developing new culture solutions under the JoinTec name going forward, with innovation and expansion focused within the Lyofast portfolio.

SACCO MULTI-STRAIN YOGHURT CULTURE PORTFOLIO
The following multi-strain yoghurt culture blends are part of the SACCO Lyofast range and are widely used for consistent yoghurt production with controlled texture and flavour development:
* Lyofast YAB 430 AB,
* Lyofast YAB 436 AB,
* Lyofast YAB 450 AB.
These blends are designed to deliver reliable acidification, texture formation, and sensory profiles suited to different yoghurt applications, while maintaining process stability and repeatability.

SENSORY EVALUATION: TRIANGLE TEST METHOD
To scientifically confirm similarity or detect differences between yoghurt culture performances, a triangle test is commonly applied. This method is simple, robust, and suitable even for non-expert panelists (consumer-style evaluation).

Test Preparation
1. Prepare two yoghurt samples:
* Sample A
* Sample B
2. Use identical processing conditions for both samples (critical for valid results).
3. Prepare at least 2  x 1 L batches under controlled and consistent conditions.

Sample Set Configuration
Each sample set consists of three coded samples arranged as follows:
* AAB
* ABA
* BAA
* BBA
* BAB
* ABB
Each evaluator receives one set only, ensuring unbiased assessment.

Panel Design
* Total Evaluators: 18
* Each set is evaluated by 3 different evaluators
* Evaluators are not required to be yoghurt experts
* Focus is purely on identifying the odd sample out

Result Interpretation (18 Evaluators)
The outcome is based on how many correct identifications are made:
* 0 - 6 correct answers: No noticeable difference between samples.
* 7 - 9 correct answers: Some difference visible, but no consistent trend.
* 10 - 18 correct answers: Significant sensory difference detected.

KEY PRINCIPLE
The triangle test remains one of the most practical and scientifically accepted methods to determine whether a perceptible difference exists between two yoghurt systems under real consumer perception conditions.
